Trade & Payment Terms

URL: /trade-payment-terms/ Effective Date: 01/09/2026 Last Updated: 01/09/2026

1. Scope

These Trade & Payment Terms govern the payment structure, accepted payment modes, credit arrangements, currency handling, and tax treatment applicable to all wholesale Orders placed with NFORT Industries (OPC) Private Limited (“NFORT”, “we”, “us”), whether domestic or export. These Terms should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping & Delivery Policy.

2. Standard Payment Structure

Unless a specific credit arrangement has been approved in writing (see Section 4), the standard payment structure for all Orders is:

  • 50% advance payment at the time of Order confirmation (i.e., upon written acceptance of the Quotation).
  • 50% balance payment at the time of shipping, payable before Goods are dispatched (for domestic Orders) or before shipping documents are released (for export Orders under CIF/FOB terms).

NFORT reserves the right to require full advance payment for first-time Buyers, sample/trial orders, or Orders below a minimum threshold value, at its discretion.

3. Accepted Payment Modes

3.1 Online Payment (Razorpay)

NFORT accepts payments via Razorpay, supporting credit/debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Razorpay processes all transactions under PCI-DSS compliant security standards; NFORT does not store card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on its own servers.

3.2 Bank Transfer

Direct bank transfer via NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS is accepted for domestic Orders, particularly for larger transaction values. Bank account details will be shared with the Buyer along with the Quotation or invoice.

3.3 Letter of Credit (LC)

For qualifying export Orders, NFORT may accept payment via an irrevocable Letter of Credit (Sight or Usance), subject to prior agreement on the LC terms, issuing bank, and documentation requirements. Buyers wishing to pay via LC should raise this at the enquiry/quotation stage, as it affects Order processing timelines.

3.4 Telegraphic Transfer (T/T)

Export Orders may also be settled via Telegraphic Transfer, either as an advance payment or against shipping documents, as agreed on the Quotation.

4. Credit Facility

4.1 Evaluation Basis

Extended payment/credit arrangements (deferred payment beyond the standard 50/50 structure) are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the Buyer’s order history, relationship duration with NFORT, transaction volume, and (where applicable) trade references. There is no fixed, universally applied credit period (such as a standard Net 15/30/45); each credit arrangement is individually confirmed in writing between the Buyer and NFORT’s sales team.

4.2 Applying for Credit

Buyers interested in a credit arrangement should contact their NFORT account manager or write to support@nfortindustries.com. NFORT may request supporting documentation (business registration, financial references, prior transaction history) as part of the evaluation.

4.3 Credit Monitoring

For Buyers with an approved credit facility, outstanding balance and available credit are visible in real time via the Client Portal under My Account -> Credit & Outstanding. NFORT reserves the right to revise or withdraw a credit facility at its discretion, including in response to payment delays or changes in the Buyer’s risk profile.

5. Currency

• Domestic Orders are invoiced in Indian Rupees (INR).

• Export Orders are invoiced in a foreign currency (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP) as mutually agreed and stated on the Quotation.

• Exchange rate fluctuation between the Quotation date and the actual payment date is not covered or absorbed by NFORT; the Buyer bears any currency conversion variance unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.

6. Late Payment

Invoices not settled by the agreed payment date will attract a late payment interest charge of 10% per day on the outstanding amount, applied from the due date until the date of actual payment.

In addition to interest, NFORT reserves the right to suspend further dispatch, hold pending Orders, or revoke an approved credit facility for any Buyer with overdue payments.

7. Taxes and Duties

7.1 GST (Domestic Orders)

Prices quoted are exclusive of GST unless explicitly stated otherwise. GST is charged at the applicable rate at the time of invoicing, under NFORT’s GSTIN 07AAKCN3687M1ZP.

7.2 Export Duties and Import Taxes

For export Orders, all destination-country import duties, taxes, customs clearance charges, and related compliance costs are the sole responsibility of the Buyer, unless Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms have been explicitly negotiated and confirmed in writing on the Quotation.

8. Invoicing

All invoices are generated through NFORT’s Accounting system and are made available to registered Buyers under My Account -> Invoices on the Client Portal. Non-portal Buyers receive invoices via email. Each invoice will reference the corresponding Quotation/Order number, GSTIN (for domestic Orders), and applicable payment terms.

9. Payment Disputes

If a Buyer disputes a specific invoice or charge, the Buyer should raise the dispute in writing to support@nfortindustries.com within a reasonable time of receiving the invoice, clearly identifying the invoice number and the basis of the dispute. Disputing a specific line item does not entitle the Buyer to withhold payment on the undisputed portion of the same invoice.

10. Set-Off

NFORT reserves the right to set off any approved refund, credit note, or other amount owed to the Buyer against any outstanding amount owed by the Buyer to NFORT under the same or a different Order.
